The Battle Is Not CBCN's -  It is the Lords'

The Christian Broadcast Committee Network has witnessed an extraordinary level of increased commitment to families and youth that emanates from everyone associated with CBCN.  Clearly, it is only through God’s precious Power, Goodness, Mercy and Holy Spirit, that we are able to maintain such a high level of commitment. When carrying out CBCN's responsibilities of serving disadvantaged families through our Annual Scholarship Program, we know "the battle is not ours, it is the Lords'.  With God's guidance, we will continue to invigorate this organization for years to come.

We know, it is imperative that CBCN keep God first in everything we do in order to maintain the Christian leadership that is required in our unwavering commitment to the mission of positively influencing urban youth, families and their environment with Christ-centered programs. Truly, it is the commitment and dedication of our volunteers, Board members and supporters, and their love of the Lord, that has generated this standard of excellence and success.  This spiritual mindset has become the unspoken and unwritten norm at CBCN.  Furthermore, these values are exemplified by our volunteers and supporters in their willingness to give back to the community, allowing us to continuously re-examine, and strive to improve the services we offer to the disadvantaged.

Few families get the opportunity to start over after facing setbacks. However, I believe with God’s power and love, and through family members receiving private spiritual consultations, our goal is to motivate and prepare them with educational program opportunities, so that they are able to leave the state of welfare dependency and move toward becoming more self-reliant. We believe through outreach programs, such as counseling, goal setting, training, spiritual awareness, cultural development, mentoring and workshops, the families we serve will ultimately learn to use their faith and lean on their God given talents, and find strength and confidence in themselves. This will allow them to become a positive influence to their family members and society.

I plan to continue to encourage the spirit of commitment that has always been, and which must be, the essence of CBCN. As long as we keep God first, we will be successful.  God bless and remember that God Is!
