The Christian Broadcast Committee Network
awards scholarships, which are based on need and merit, to low income students to attend an accredited two-or four-year college,
university or vocational-technical school in the U.S.
Awards consist of a maximum of $1000 per academic year, which equates to $500 per semester. A minimum
of twelve course hours are required. Scholarship will be forfeited by awardee and given to another student if they decide
not to attend college. The Scholarship may be applied towards tuition and student fees only.
The deadline for submitting this application to the Christian Broadcast Committee Network's Selection Committee
is May 16, 2010.
Awarding of these scholarships will be based on a
point ranking which takes the following factors into account: school record, including grades and extracurricular activities,
community activities; clarity and realism of expressed goals, plans to cope with challenges facing applicant; recommendation
letters; and financial need.
To be considered
for the scholarship you must:
1.
Agree to be fully admitted as a degree or certificate seeking student.
2. Intend to register for at least 12 credit hours in an accredited college.
3. Have at least a 2.5 grade point average, if you are a graduating high school student, or a continuing/transfer
college student.
4.
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
5.
Attach at least two completed recommendation forms from people, other than
family, with direct knowledge of your abilities, accomplishments and potential. Make sure you and the person
recommending you sign the forms. Please note that materials submitted with this application cannot be returned.
6. Attach an official copy (not a computer print-out) of your most recent high school or college
transcript. We must have something from your 12th grade year or beyond.
7. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. You must submit the
completed application, your transcript and two completed recommendation forms no later than May 16, 2010 to:
